Not a Gavel

Judge Kavanaugh

I do not believe you.

The number of badges that you pointed to on your chest
Had so little to do with innocence
And the song and dance that you did—
Bringing your parents to sit behind you, announcing it,
to hand a talking point to Ted Cruz
leaves me unimpressed.

The same goes for your daughter.
She said “pray for the woman.”

You compliment her on her wisdom.
Maybe she is wise.
But is she wise to you using her as a shield?

How many times do we have to hear that you love church,
And because you go there you are virtuous;
and incapable of sexual assault?
Perhaps you’ve missed the news about the church.

Sports. Let’s not forget about sports.
You liked to lift weights, and play ball.
At least there’s no sexual assault in sports.

A lot of women said they weren’t assaulted by you.
There are a lot of women in the world.
How nice for those women.

You played zone defense with other conservative men
Making it fully clear
You’re not so much interested in justice and

Truth

as you are interested in

Winning.
